LARSIAN Cebu

"When it's brown it's cooking; when it's black it's done."
- BARBECUE

HUNGRY in CEBU? Grab a stick of barbecue at Larsian.

Larsian is a barbecue square-type strip with numerous stalls located at Fuente Osmeña. It is a bazaar of eateries that is a perfect place to experience Cebu's best barbecues. It's not a fancy restaurant that most foreigners would think about but are stalls of barbecue lined up around the perimeter of the place. Since it's located at Fuente Osmeña Circle, it's really accessible to jeepneys and taxis.

LARSIAN on peak hours. DAMING TAO!!

When getting inside Larsian, don't be shock of how noisy the place is. Vendors would usually call out customers to eat on their stalls, so choosing a stall to eat is a bit difficult since there are a lot to decide on. Usually my friends and I like the far-end part of Larsian since it's not so crowded there. Once settled, you can start ordering for barbecues you like on the trays. There are a wide variety of barbecue that you can pick like: pork, chicken, squid, fish, hotdog and the famous chorizo de Cebu. These orders of yours will be listed and will be taken to the common grilling area in the center part of Larsian. After maybe 15-20 minutes (depending on what kind of meat) its ready to be serve.

So many BBQ stalls to choose
BBQ here, BBQ there, BBQ everywhere

Grilling Station found at the center of Larsian

Barbecues in Larsian are paired up with a special woven rice we called "puso", where you eat it by opening the cut part and take out the rice inside. Again, since this is not a fancy restaurant you eat it with your bare hands or with plastic gloves.

PUSO and BBQ are a perfect tandem

ISAW (chicken intestine)!!! MY FAVORITE!!

TIP: If your dining with your friends in a large group, you can haggle for the price or ask for discounts and freebies such as unlimited soup and a liter of soft drink.

If your a night-shift worker and craves for barbecue, don't worry because Larsian is still open to treat your cravings. It usually opens at 10 am till 2 pm. Night time is usually so crowded so take note of that.

BURP!!! Excuse me (after math) HAHAHAHA
